Reverend Leon Brassfield passed from this life into the Lord's presence at White County Health Care Center in Searcy, Arkansas, August 30, 2010.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Myra Pruett Brassfield; one son, Phillip Brassfield and wife Cathy; daughter-in-law, Terri James Brassfield; four grandchildren, Drew Brassfield and wife Diana of Nederland, Texas, Jordyn Bailey of Little Rock, Arkansas, Adam Brassfield and wife Tamatha, Aaron Brassfied and wife Miranda, both of Blytheville, Arkansas; and three great-grandchildren. He is also survived by sister and brother-in-law, Marticia and Wendell (Hap) Pitchford, sister Audrey Burns; sister-in-law Marilyn Brassfied, all of Hartford, Arkansas, sister and brother-in-law, Wanda and Don Moore of Fort Smith, Arkansas; and brother-in-law, Harold Steele of Charleston, Arkansas; and a host of friends.
He was preceded in death by one son, Kenneth Brassfield; and by his parents, John and Della Brassfield; one brother, Delbert Brassfield and one sister, Patricia Steele.
Funeral services will be Thursday, September 2, 2010, at 10:30 at the Powell Funeral Home Chapel of Searcy.
His son, Dr. Kenneth Brassfield is buried in Elmwood Cemetery in Blytheville, (Mississippi Co.) Arkansas.
