Ada Jane McFall was the fifth known child and the third known daughter of early San Patricio County Pioneers, George Wesley McCown and Cynthia Blanche Buckhanon who were born in Lawrence County, Arkansas (then Missouri Territory) and Sevier County, Arkansas respectively. They married in Arkansas and moved to Texas before the birth of their first known child.
Some records report her birth as Arkansas and others as Fannin County, Texas. Red River County was later divided into multiple counties, including Bowie, Titus and Fannin Counties. At the time of her birth, it was still Red River County.
She married Albert Clarence McFall on the 15th of April, 1872 in San Patricio, San Patricio County, Texas.
