BOONEVILLE - Zera Sanders Riddle, 87, died Thurs., July 20, 2000, at the North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo after a brief illness. She was a homemaker and a member of Mackeys Creek Primitive Baptist Church. She enjoyed gardening and reading. She was the widow of Abner Erskin. She loved her family.
Services will be at 11 a.m. today at McMillan Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Ed Lowery, Elder Cecil Woodruff and Elder Gene Birmingham officiating. Burial will be in Mackey's Creek Cemetery.
Survivors include one daughter, Mary Alice Hopkins and her husband, Harold, of Booneville; one son, J. V. Riddle and his wife, Charlotte, of Booneville; two sisters, Zennie Mayo and Zetta Denson of Starkville; eight grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas Alexander and Sarah Alice Sanders; and one brother, Dorsey Sanders.
Pallbearers will be Walter Alan Davis, Mark Griffin, Tim Williams, Darrell Williams, Jeff Williams, Ben Dodds and Jamie Gamble. Honorary pallbearers will be the doctors and staff of Booneville Baptist Memorial Hospital and the North Mississippi Medical Center.
