Services for Edgar David Armstrong of Marysville, Calif., formerly of the Richmond community were held November 26, 1965 in New Chapel Methodist Church with burial in the Church cemetery with W. E. Pegues in charge. He was 80. Mr. Armstrong died November 22, 1965 in Marysville, where he was a retired water well driller. He moved from Lee County to Texas in 1916 and moved from there to California in 1939. He was a Baptist.

Survivors included his wife; seven sons, George H. of Tupelo, Terrell, Tallie, Jewell, Jo and Curtiss of Marysville, and Merrell of Downey, Calif.; two daughters, Mrs. E. K. Adams of Marysville and Mrs. Jesse Wallace of Mooreville; three brothers, G. M. and Delmar Armstrong of Dorsey and H. T. Armstrong of Tupelo; three sisters, Mrs. Mary Nabors of Dorsey, Mrs. D. E. Leech and Mrs. Tom Austin, Jr. of Tupelo; 21 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
