He was born May 17, 1912, in Hardin [sic], Mo., and lived most of his life in Kansas City, Mo. He resided the past six years in St Joseph. He was a retired truck driver and was employed with the Jenkins Music Co. in Kansas City. He was a member of the Baptist faith.
Surviving are his wife, Arlene Furgson Silkwood of the home; a sister, Rose Gonzales of Roseville, Calif.; a brother, William Silkwood of Kansas City, Mo.; and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Clark-Lindsey Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Odd Fellows Cemetery, St Joseph." St Joseph Gazette, March 5, 1985
