Her Mother died when Lucille was almost 12 leaving 6 surviving children. Her widowed father active in IOOF and working in Folsom entered the kids in the Odd Fellows s Children's Home in Gilroy,CA. Her brother Mel went to work in Folsom but the rest of the children (Jim,Nell,Beth, Muiel and Lucille were raised in the home.) There Lucille met the love of her life- Jack Westervelt her husband to be. They traveled the world. Lucille LOVED golf. They renewed their Catholic vows before her death at 46 from cancer.
