Donald A. Artman, 79, of Lewistown, died at 7:47 p.m, Friday, July 30, 2010 at the Altoona Hospital Trauma Center as a result of a motor vehicle accident.
Born March 11, 1931 in Yeagertown, he was the son of the late Vincent Snook and Helen Artman.
He is survived by his wife, Jean (Freed) Artman, whom he married on August 2, 1952.
Donald is survived by his children, Robert A. Artman and his wife, Susan, Halifax and Steven D. Artman of Burnham; grandchildren, Thomas, Laura, Christopher, Angela, Erin, Trisha, and Patrick; and a great-grandson, McKinley.
He is also survived by his sisters and brothers, Ivor Snook and his wife, Linda, Milton, DE; Larry Snook and his wife, Kathy, Bowie, MD; Bettie Newland and nephew, Joseph, Marshall, VA and Virginia Ann Snook, California.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Brenda S. Knavel.
Donald was employed as a manager at Fisher Auto Parts in Lewistown.
He was a member of the Yeagertown United Methodist Church.
A Memorial Service will be held Friday at 1:00 p.m. at the Yeagertown United Methodist Church with the Rev. Thomas B. Morningstar officiating. Private interment will be in Juniata Memorial Park.
Family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at the church.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Yeagertown United Methodist Church, Mann Avenue, Yeagertown, PA 17099.
Funeral arrangements are under the care of the Heller-Hoenstine Woodlawn Funeral Home, 200 N. Main Street, Lewistown.
