He was a member of the First Christian Church in Carterville.
He married Pearl Presley in Carterville Sept 22, 1908.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in the George Van Natta Funeral Home in Herrin. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery in Carterville. Friends may call after 5 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
