Gladys was a housewife and was known as a good cook and mother to her two children, J. Edd and Judy Walton. After Edgar Addison's untimely death at such a young age, she finished went back to teaching for several years.
Later, she remarried to a Mr. Paris but divorced after about seven years of marriage. After this, she lived in a nice home at Canyon Lake.
Gladys Walton died on April 6, 1998 and is buried in the Jourdanton City Cemetery next to her first husband.
