11 Sept 1963: Daniel Z. Brandt, 79, 512 Walnut St., died at 6:15 p.m. Tuesday in the Good Samaritan Hospital after an illness of several years. He was a retired employee of the Bethlehem Steel Company. A son of the late Jacob G. and Lizzie Brandt, he was a member of the Memorial Evangelical United Brethren Church. He is survived by two sons, John J., Lebanon; James D., Cleona, and three daughters, Charlotte, wife of William Nitch; Myrle, wife of Harry Trout and Helen, wife of Arthur Shultz, all of Lebanon. Twelve grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and a brother, Raymond Brandt, Lebanon, also survive. [Lebanon Daily News]
