Served as Missouri State Assesor and Pettis Co. Assesor. Married Sarah Jane POWELL 8/3/1858 in Pettis Co.,Mo. Moved to Calif. just before the turn of the century dying & buried at Copperopolis now under the waters of Shasta Lake. Their graves were later moved to Kirkwood. Fathered 6: Henry Allen, Frank Thomas, Sarah Emma "Sally" (Lyon) and Mary, Lizzie Ida and unknown WALKER passing before family came to Calif.
