He was born in Michigan and came to Arizona in the 1880's. He married three times, first to Cora Belle Jenkins,by whom he had 4 children, 2 living to adulthood, then to Bernardine Powers,by whom he had 3 children, 2 living to adulthood, then to Mrs. Micah Butler, no children of this marriage. He was the dentist for many years for the Whiteriver Apache Reservation and for surrounding cities in Navajo county. The Indian Museum located south of Whiteriver, AZ has several pictures of Manlove and his son, in their archives. His dental office was across the street from the Church of the Open Bible where he attended.
