Clessie Pearl McCowan, 82, of Nora, died Tuesday May 17, 1994, in St. Mary's Hospital.
She was a native of Wise County, but lived most of her life in Dickenson County. She was of the Freewill Baptist faith. She was the widow of Elbert S. McCowan.
Surviving are two sons, Billy McCowan of Nora, and Neal McCowan of Mesilla, N. M.; three daughters, Connie Mochezuki of Elko, Nev., and Linda Greene and Carolyn French, both of Coeburn; one sister, Opal Ball of Bristol; two brothers, Vernon Rose of Clintwood and J. C. Rose of Richmond; 18 grandchildren; and 26 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Friday at Mullins Funeral Home Chapel with Darrell Milgrim and Everett Mullins officiating. Burial followed in the Rasnick family cemetery, Route 1, Nora. Grndsons and nephews served as pallbearers.
Mullins Fineral Home was in charge of arrangements.
