Bogata News, 2 June 2005: Thelma Westerman, 86, of Talco died Saturday, May 21, 2005 in Bogata, Texas. A graveside service was held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 24, 2005 at the Talco Cemetery with Bro. Johnny Mack Brown officiating. Interment was under the direction of Curry- Welborn Funeral Home. Mrs. Westerman was born on June 24, 1918, in Maple Springs, the daughter of Charlie and Dona Pittman. She is survived by two sons, Alford and Donald Westerman and wife Carolyn of Talco, a daughter and son-in-law, Penny and Lloyd Booudreaux, of Hammond, La.; two sisters, Charline Black and Frankie Brown and husband Jesse of Maple Springs; ten grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Talco. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hulan Westerman, her son Charles Lee Westerman, her parents, three sisters, Becky Austin, Verbeth Wyatt and Tincy Strahan and two brothers, Carl 'Whiskers' Pittman and Rayford Pittman.
