Wayne Stacy, age 72 years, of Lake Coleman died Sunday, February 15, 2004 at Abilene Regional Medical Center. Wayne was born on February 26, 1931 to Wilber John and Florrie (Foster) Stacy in Cross Plains.
He served in the U.S. Army National Guard of Texas as an Army Recruiter until he retired in 1991. He married Barbara Thompson on Nov. 5, 1994 at Lake Coleman.
He is survived by his wife B. J. Stacy of Lake Coleman, three daughters, Beverly Smith of Cisco, Cathy Schur of Vernon, and Melissa Montez on San Antonio; two sons, Jon Stacy and Randy Stacy, both of Tulsa, OK as well as 10 grandchildren.
His parents, three brothers and one sister preceeded him in death.
Graveside services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 19, 2004 at Dressy Cemetary with Mike Stacy officiating.
