Maude was life long resident of East Galesburg.She married Walter White. She married Michael Farrell (Michele Ferrara on Find A Grave) on June 13, 1918. He died in 1931. She married Chester E. Banks (on Find A Grave) on Feb 2, 1935.
Maude's first husband was a railroad detective who owned several taverns. She chewed snuff and operated a bootleg joint out of a converted boxcar in East Galesburg. Maude kept her money in a tobacco pouch that was pinned to her undershirt. She owned a 20 gauge long barrel shot gun that she kept on hand for unruly customers, not to mention her wayward elder sons.
She was a member of the Methodist Church and World War II Mothers. She had six sons: Michael and Frank Farrell (on F.A.G.); George (F.A.G.), Richard, Chester J.(F.A.G.), and James Banks. Five daughters: Hazel Leaf, Mary Shane, Myrtle Potter, and twins Vernice Sharp and Virginia Gerlach (all except Myrtle are on F.A.G.) Three brothers: Robert, Tom, and William Loman. She had a twin sister, Myrtle, who preceded her in death. Her husband Chester, who was four months older than her oldest daughter, was also a twin.
