TUNICA - Ashley Harris, 46, writer and historian; and Linda House Harris, 40, librarian; husband and wife, died of smoke inhalation Friday at their home. Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Tunica Presbyterian Church with burial in Oakwood Cemetery here. Nowell Memorial Funeral Home has charge. Mr. Harris was a graduate of Tunica County High School, attended Northwest Mississippi Community College and graduated from Delta State University with a master's degree. He was a member of the staf f of the Tunica Times and a member of Tunica Presbyterian Church. Mrs. Harris graduated from Magnolia Heights High School in Senatobia, attended Northwest Community College there and graduated from Delta State University and Mississippi Southern Universi ty, where she earned her master's degree. She was a member of the American Library Association and Tunica United Methodist Church. Mr. Harris leaves his parents, Robert A. Harris Jr. and Joan Balentine Harris, both of Tunica, and a sister, Charlaine Harr is Schulz of Magnolia, Ark. Mrs. Harris leaves her parents, Laverne House and Maefred King House of Senatobia, and two sisters, Sally Ann House McDonough of Tamarac, Fla., and Mary Lou Hale of Oxford, Miss. The family requests that any memorials be sent to R. C. Irwin Library in Tunica.
