She was a daughter of the late Albert Arthur Strickland and Alice Lily Lambert Strickland.

She was retired from the dietary department at Ellenburg Nursing Center and was of the Baptist faith.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands Floyd A. Scott Sr. and James Earle Scott and a brother, Arthur Strickland.
