His first big job was working for Sealtest Milk in Memphis, TN when he first got the idea to drive a truck for a living. He began by picking up milk from dairies who sold to Sealtest. Though still in his 30's, he thought he would retire and run a pool hall and beer joint.
He eventually ended up back in a truck. He owned his own truck and hauled things for the companies for which he wanted to drive.
If not driving or washing his truck, or with his wife, children and grandchildren, Benny Ray could be found with a fishing tackle or working on his small farm/ranch.
