He was 32 when he married Virginia Sliter on June 21, 1942 & was 36 when his daughter Diane was born in 1946.
Ron served in World War II from March 7, 1941 to March 7, 1946 as a Captain AGD in the 78 Repl. Btn. and retired from the U.S. Army as a Major.
Ron worked as a director of the County Welfare Dept. for 10 years & director of the Veterans Service Office in Norwalk, Ohio for 18 years.
He was living at 18 Rosedale Blvd. with Virginia when he died on July 15, 1975 from colon cancer at Fisher-Titus Memorial Hospital in Norwalk. Ron was a member of St. Paul's Catholic Church and is buried at St. Paul's Cemetery, Lot 33, Sec. 10-NE, Grave #1 in Norwalk, Ohio.
