Dale was the postmaster in New Bremen, Ohio at the time of his death. He had also served as postmaster in Fort Recovery, Ohio and Arcanum, Ohio before going to New Bremen.
Without a doubt, Dale was one of my most favorite people I met during my postal career. He had a very 'wicked' (but not cruel) sense of humor and I still remember many of the things he said or did that cracked me up. And since it came to be that I no longer worked in the same office as Dale and did not see him on a daily basis, it's still sometimes difficult for me to fathom that he is actually gone.
Rest in peace, old buddy.
