He was a retired logger.
Services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the chapel of Hixson Brothers Inc. of Jena with Rev. P. A. Paul and Rev. Truman Leach, officiating.
Burial followed at Pleasant Hill Cemetery of Jena with arrangements by Hixson Brothers Inc. of Jena.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Aldis Cockerham of Jena; a son, Fred Adams of Jena; a sister, Mrs. Ineta Enterkin of Jena; three grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Henry Adams, Don Adams, Kirby Jones, David Jones, Huey Smith Jr., and Carl Smith.
