Major League Baseball Player. He played for the Chicago Cubs from 1916 to 1922 and the Saint Louis Cardinals from 1922 to 1925. Known for being traded on May 30, 1922 from the Chicago Cubs to the Saint Louis Cardinals for Cliff Heathcote between the games of a doubleheader, both players changed jerseys and played for the opposite team in the second game. In a 2010 book entitled "The Original Curse", he was brought up as possibly being involved in throwing the 1918 World Series between the Cubs and the Red Sox. He made crucial errors and misplays throughout the series and holds the honor of being the only player to be picked off twice in a World Series game. The Red Sox won the Series 4 games to 2 games.
