Warren was born in the community of Raybon in Wayne County, Georgia (now Brantley County), and grew up in Jacksonville, Florida. He was preceded in death by his parents and older brother, Eldred.
Warren had previously worked for some time in glass glazing and installation and was a former owner and manager of a Putt-Putt golf course and Western Sizzlin' restaurant. He enjoyed playing golf and boating.
Warren was survived by his wife, "Sandy" Barron Morris of Sanford; children, Vieve Hastings, Steve Morris and Kim Bridges, and adopted son, Jason Morris; grandchildren, Kaysi and Cassidy Hastings; brother, Dale Morris; mother of his children, "Susie" Smith Pietrzak.
He was laid to rest in the Morris Family Cemetery near Oak Park.
