Malone "Bud" Gallant, 81 died Monday, Jan. 25, 1993 in Ballinger. Service will be at 2 p. m. Thursday at First Baptist Church with burial in Evergreen Cemetery, directed by Be Rains-Seale Funeral Home. He was born Aug. 30, 1911, in Kennard. He was a farmer and a member of the Seventh Street Baptist Church where he had been a deacon since 1943. He was a past trustee or the Blanton and Ballinger School Districts and a past member of the Board oi Directors of the Ballinger Co-Op. He was a music director for the Blanton and the Seventh Street Baptist Church and the Downtown Bible Class for 25 years. He was a trustee for the Heart of Texas Baptist Encampment- for 17 years. Survivors include his wife, Laverne Galant of Ballinger, two the Sons, Gary Galant and Archie Gallant, both of Ballinger: two daughters, Martha Seymore of El Paso and Betty Carden of San Antonio: a brother M. F. Galant of Lynchburg, Va.; seven sisters, Vivian Marshal of Bosier City, La., Maurine Catheart of San Antonio, Joy Archer and Golda Haggard, Doth of Gustine, Laura McCarley of Gregory, Myrlee Graves of Slaton and Alma Cooper of Andrews; 11 grandchildren; and a great grandchild.
