1919 - 2010
James Allen Anger, Sr., age 90, passed away on Monday, March 15, 2010. He was the owner of Anger Auto Body and Wrecker Service at the corner of T and Fisher Streets. He was the owner of Coastal Communications. He served in the Army Air Corp, Air Force and Air Force Reserve. He served in World War II and the Korean Conflict. He will be remembered as a respected, well-known gentleman in the community. He was one of the best body men in the area. He took much pride in his yard. He also taught auto body at Pensacola Vocational High School.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Lyda Anger; sister, Elizabeth Violet Hilton; brothers, Raymond Anger and Thomas Alfred Anger.
He is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Kathleen Peterson Anger; children, James Allen Anger, Jr. and wife, Carolyn and Andy Adrian Anger; grandchildren, Darla Jean Permenter (Doug) and Audrey Marie Anger; great-grandchildren, Zachary Permenter and Lilly Elizabeth Murphy; sisters, Lois Anger Fink, Virginia Dispensia and Helen Tracy (Al).
Pallbearers will be Robert Tau, Mike Etheridge, Sidney Lewis, Randy Etheridge, Terry Smith, Howard Johnson and Wayne Dycus. Honorary pallbearers will be Roy McInvale, Clayton Coker, Howard Ard and John Percell.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, March 19, 2010 at Faith Chapel Funeral Home South with Chaplain Shane Tucker officiating. Interment will follow at Bayview Memorial Park Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, March 18 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.
