BIOGRAPHY: Mr. Adair was born on April 9, 1930 in Camden, New Jersey. At the age of 17, he enlisted in the U. S. Army, where he would serve a tour in the Korean Conflict and two tours in Vietnam. He later retired from the Army as a Sgt. First Class while serving as a medic. After his military retirement, Mr. Adair came to Pampa where he began a second career with the U. S. Postal Service, retiring in 1992. He was a member of the Pampa Optimist Club, where he coached, umpired, and served in other various roles. He was a member of the VA Chapel in Temple and was a former member of St. Vincent dePaul Catholic Church in Pampa. His greatest enjoyment was fishing with his sons and grandchildren. He will be remembered as a person who loved life and lived it to the fullest.
SURVIVORS: 2 sons: Michael Adair of Fort Worth and Mark Adair and wife Cindy of Benbrook; 2 daughters: Lisa Cowperthwait of Haskell and Teresa Meischen and husband Vernon of Temple; 10 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by an infant son, Myles.
