Raymond L. "Ray" Allman, 90, of fowler, died at 4:45 a.m. Monday, Feb. 6, 2008, at his residence.
Born June 20, 1915, to the late Clarence Allman and Myrtle Mae Robinson in Miami County, he had resided in Fowler for the past three years and had previously lived in Monticello.
His marriage was to Evelyn "Eileen" Haines on Oct. 12, 1935, in Sheldon, Ill, and she survives.
Mr. Allman wirked for the Monticello district of Northern Indiana Public Service Company for more than 20 years, retiring in 1980 as distric sales manager.
He attended Fowler Baptist Church and had previously attended Lockport Church in Lockport, Ind. He was a member of the Mexico Masonic Lodge in Mexico, Ind., for more than 50 years and was also a member of the Mezpaw Shrine in Fort Wayne.
Mr. Allman enjoyed hunting, fishing and trapping. He was an avid outdoorsman.
Surviving with his wife are two sons, Robert L. Allman (wife Sharon) of Summerfield, Fla., and Dennis D. Allman (wife Linda) of Avon Park, Fla.; and two daughters, Pamela Rae Havely (husband, Thomas) of Bellview, Fla., and Alice "Ann" Hardebeck (husband, Michael) of Earl Park.
Visitation will be 2 hours prior to noon services Saturday at Miller-Roscka Funeral Home, Monticello, the Rev. Nord Zootman and Pastor Tony King officiating. A Masonic services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Graveside services 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Westlawn Cemetery in Denver, Ind.
