STEELE, Mo.--Funeral services were held here Monday afternoon for Mrs. Sarah Elizabeth Wallace, 84, who died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. A.J. Overturf, Sunday, of cancer.
Mrs. Wallace was one of the early settlers of this community, moving here more than 40 years ago with her husband, the late John Wallace. She was a native of Luray, Tenn., where she lived until coming here.
She was a charter member of the Steele Methodist Church and a former member of the Eastern Star and Royal Neighbors. She participated in religious activities until her health failed some time ago.
Services were to be conducted at the Methodist Church by the Rev. M.A. Massey, pastor. Burial was to be made at Mount Zion cemetery with the German Undertaking Company in charge of funeral arrangements. A song service was to be given by Mrs. Newberry Johnson, Mrs. Gerald Brooks and Miss Imogene Manning.
