Ronnie Parker Melton, 72, of Norwood, died Monday morning, January 27, 2020 at Stanly Manor.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, January 30, 2020 at Randall United Methodist Church Cemetery. Rev. Caitlin McAlhany and Rev. Glenn Hancock will officiate. Visitation will follow the service in the church fellowship hall.

Ronnie was born March 30, 1947 in Stanly County to the late Vance and Rebecca Taylor Melton. He was a retiree of the City of Norwood.

He was a member of Randall United Methodist Church and enjoyed attending Melton's Grove United Methodist Church. He was a former member of the Norwood Center Rural Volunteer Fire Department.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister Mary Len Melton.

He is survived by his brother Eddie Melton (Carol) of Norwood and one niece and one nephew.
