Mary Elizabeth Sweet , 88, of East Aurora, died Friday (June 26, 1998) in her home.
Born in York, Pa., the former Mary Weitzel was employed at Sylvania Electric in Buffalo for 35 years before retiring in 1973. She was an active member of the Baker Methodist Church in East Aurora and enjoyed crocheting.
She was the widow of Elmer, who died in 1965.
She is survived by a son, Robert of Pompano Beach, Fla.; a daughter, Joan of East Aurora; a brother, Gerald Weitzel of Olean; five grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Christ United Methodist Church, 633 Linwood Ave., Olean. Burial will be in Pleasant Valley Cemetery, Olean. Interment 30 June 1998.
