Maria M. Moreno, 86, of Flomot, Texas passed away Friday, Feb. 26, 2010 in Crosbyton, TX. Visitation will be on Sunday, Feb. 28 from 3PM to 5PM. Rosary services will be recited on Monday, March 1st at 7PM at Shannon Family Funeral Home in Matador. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, March 2nd at 2 PM at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Matador with Father Angelo Consemino officiating. Interment will follow in Flomot Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mrs. Moreno was born on November 8, 1923 in San Angelo, Texas to Matilde C. and Ygnacio Martinez. She married Teodoro Moreno on Feb. 22, 1947 in San Angelo, Texas. A resident of Hall and Motley Counties for over 58 years, she was a homemaker and a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by her parents and by two brothers Ygnacio and Antonio Martinez.
She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Teodoro Moreno of Flomot. Two sons, Fidencio Moreno and his wife Mary Lou of Tulia, Texas. Roy Moreno and his wife Benita of Matador, TX, Three Daughters, Dora Cruz and husband Rene of Crosbyton, TX, Gloria Rodriguez and her husband Johnny of Plainview, TX and Vicky Cruz of Tulia, TX. 13 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren.
