SIOUX CITY -- Deborah Lynn Divis, 51, of Sioux City died on Thursday, Feb. 18, 2010, at her residence of natural causes.

Services will be held 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Glad Tidings Lighthouse Church in South Sioux City, with the Rev. Michael Ring officiating. Interment will follow in Logan Park Cemetery, Sioux City. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, with the family present 6 to 8 p.m., at Waterbury Funeral Service.

Deborah was born on Sept. 30, 1958, in Sioux City, Iowa, the daughter of Harold and Louise (Nichols) McAllester. She made the Sioux City area her home for most of her life. She was united in marriage with James Divis in May of 1998 in Sioux City.

Deborah worked as a home health aide for Mercy Medical Services, until her illness forced her early retirement. She loved spending time with her family, playing Bingo, caring for her yard and her flowers, fishing and camping.

Deb will be missed by her family which includes her husband, James; her six sons, Charles Jackson, Manuel Aguiar, Daniel Aguiar, Jesus Aguiar, Jose Aguiar and Zachary Divis, all of Sioux City; her stepdaughter, Ashley Divis of Hinton, Iowa; her three brothers, Jim McAllester (Vicky) of North Sioux City, S.D., Mike McAllester of Sioux City, and Scott McAllester of Council Bluffs, Iowa; and her stepbrother, John Raml of Sioux City. She is also survived by her seven loving grandchildren, and her parents-in-law, Duane and Susan Divis of Hawarden, Iowa.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her stepfather; and daughter, Sarah Louise Merritt.
