She was born Oct. 1, 1888 to Amos Ruark and Ellen Taylor.
She was united in marriage to Joseph Nichols, who preceded her in death in 1963.
Mrs. Nichols attended the Olney Free Methodist church.
Surviving are sons Cecil of Parkersburg, Rural Route, Mack of Olney; three daughters, Mrs. Dorothy Fulkerson of Olney, Mrs. Frances Caslari of Flora, and Ruth Noe of Olney; 16 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, daughter, two brothers, two sisters, and a grandson.
