She was born Sept. 15, 1938, in San Bernadino, Calif., and was the daughter of the late James L. Gauntt Sr. and Kathrine White Gauntt.
She was a retired cashier with Wal-Mart and was a member of Grace Lutheran Church.
Survivors include her husband, John Brabston; two sons, Bonn and David Brabston, both of Pleasant View; two daughters, Deborah Hann of Chapmansboro, Tenn., and Jennifer Visser of Bellville, Wis.; brother, James Gauntt Jr. of El Cajon, Calif.; three grandchildren, Chelsea Steele, Justin Steele and Axel Visser; and one great-grandson, Michael Patterson.
Visitation was Sunday, Feb. 14, 2010, from noon to 5 p.m. and Monday, Feb. 15, 2010, from 10 a.m. until the service hour.
The funeral was held Monday, Feb. 15, 2010, at 1 p.m. at Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Chapel with Rev. Larry Peters officiating. Burial was in Resthaven Memorial Gardens.
