John Raymond Frisch, 87, of Leesburg, formerly of Norwalk and Huron, Ohio passed away Sunday, July 26, 2009. He was born March 17, 1922 in Vernon Junction, Ohio and raised in Pennsylvania. He served 50 years with Plumbers & Steamfitters Local 42 in Norwalk, Ohio. He retired in 1981 from Wilkes Mechanical Contractors in Huron, Ohio. In 1983, he moved to Florida becoming a resident of Corley Island Manor in Leesburg. He was a veteran of WWII serving in 901st Signal Corps, attached to the 25th Air Depot in the Western Pacific Theater. He was a lifetime member of V.F.W. and a member of St. Paul's Catholic Church, Leesburg. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ray and Sally Frisch; sisters, Dorthy and Kathleen; and one brother, Earl, all of Shelby, Ohio. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Ethel G. Frisch of Leesburg; son, John A. Frisch (Mickey) of Norwalk, Ohio; daughters, Dianna J. Frisch of Columbus, Ohio, Sharri A. Osburn of Columbus, Ohio; grandchildren, Aimee (Frisch) Smith, Dr. Wendy (Frisch) Stewart (Ken); Ray A. Osburn Jr. (Kaycie) and one great-grandchild, Elias Johnathan Osburn. Memorial services will be Friday, July 31, 2009 at 11:30 a.m. at Beyers Funeral Home Chapel, Leesburg. Inurnment will follow at Florida National Cemetery with military graveside honors.
