Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, December 16, 2004 at the Melissa Christian Church. Interment will follow at Highland Cemetery.
She was born on September 28, 1932, in Valdasta, Texas to Eugene and Ouida (Butler) Chilton. She married Arvil Lee Walden on January 31, 1948, in Durant, Oklahoma. She retired after many years of service with McKinney, Melissa, Trenton and Anna school districts. Mrs. Walden was an active member with the Melissa Christian Church.
She is survived by her sons, Tim Walden and wife, Kim of Celina, Texas and Phillip Walden and wife, Robin of McKinney, Texas; grandchildren, Michael Walden and wife, Tracey, Chris Walden, Rami Robertson and husband, Neil, Lisa Walden, and Brett Walden; great grandchildren, Cameron Ast and Regan Robertson; sisters, Joan Beth Rutledge of Melissa, Texas and Linda Close of Garland, Texas; and brother, Larry Chilton of Sherman, Texas.
Mrs. Walden was preceded by her father, Eugene Chilton; mother, Ouida Butler Chilton; husband, Arvil Lee Walden; and son, Craig Walden.
Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Wednesday at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home.
