On October 31, 1967, Company B provided one platoon for a reaction force at Cu Chi Base Camp. Company C(-) continued working with the 34th ARVN Rangers in providing protection for engineer construction work. At 1950 hours, an APC from Company A detonated an AT mine on Highway 1 near the intersection of Highway 7A, half way between Cu Chi and Trang Bang. Four Bobcats were killed and two were wounded. Below are the three other Bobcats ,that were KIA with John Steer.
