Jerry Wilson Hanks, 43, of 3408 Seattle, Nederland, was pronounced dead on arrival at Mid-Jefferson County Hospital at approximately 7 p.m. Tuesday.
He was a native and lifelong resident of Nederland. He was a member of St. Charles Catholic Church, Nederland. He was a past president of the Evening Optimist Club and was recently presented a lifetime membership. He attended the University of Houston, the University of Colorado and received his pharmacist degree from the University of Texas. He was the owner and operator of E. J. Pharmacy in Nederland.
Funeral services will be announced by Davis Funeral Home, Nederland.
Mr. Hanks is survived by his wife Flo Hanks; one daughter Kelly Katherine Hanks; one son Jerry Wilson Hanks II, all of Nederland, his mother, Mrs. Edolia Hanks of Nederland; one sister Mrs. Beverly Askew of Vidor; one brother Robert G. Hanks of Nederland; four nieces and one nephew.
