George Wesley Roach was the third child and second son of the five known children of Alvin & Harriet (Perry) Roach. Both parents were born in Ohio.

He married Elizabeth Isabel Hoot in Colton, Henry County, Ohio at the age of 22; she was 15. The ceremony was performed by the Reverend Samuel Hendricks and witnessed by the groom's mother and the wife of the minister.

She and my grandfather are buried in Waterville, Ohio. Grandfather was born in 1860 and died in 1932.
