Jerome Wayne "Jerry" Horton, 41, of Laurel, Miss., died Tuesday, January 27, 2004 at Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg, Miss. Mr. Horton was a self-employed carpenter and a member of Sarah Baptist Church in Sarah. Services were Saturday, January 31 at Memory Chapel Funeral Home in Laurel with interment in Sunset Gardens Cemetery. Pallbearers were Patrick Windham, Jeff Hudspeth, Tom Hudspeth, Andy Chain, Lynn Morris, Joe Mitchell, Aaron Payne, Timmy Miller, Rob Purse, and Johnny Houston. Rev. Dan Watts officiated.
He is survived by his fiancee, Deana Farrell of Laurel; his parents, Frank and Helen Hall of Laurel; a son, Jerry Horton of Guthrie, Okla.; a daughter, Nikki Horton of Hawkins, Texas; a brother, Robert Horton of Laurel; two sisters, Kellie Chandler and Shellie Horton, both of Laurel, three nieces; one nephew; and other relatives and friends.
