Mr. Baker was one of the oldest settlers of the Huffstuttle country and was one of the foremost citizens of the county. He was county commissioner from his precinct for several years.
Survived by her husband, one son - Dan Baker; one daughter - Mrs. E. McReynolds.

Andrew J. Baker married Martha J. Milam in 1866 at Missouri. Marriage records show Andrew was born 1834 and Martha was born 1833. The couple moved to Young County, Texas by 1883.
