"OBITUARY"


GRANGER-Arthur W. Crume, 70, of 51551 C.R. 1, Granger, died at 3:40 a.m. Monday (Sept. 23, 1991) in Rosewood Terrace where he had been a patient since July 30th.

He was born April 21, 1921, in Elkhart. Surviving are two daughters, Christine Crume of Dearborn, Mich., Cheryl K. Starr of Dallas, Texas; four sisters, Irene Detwiler and Hazel Purciarele, both of Elkhart, Alice Davies of Edwardsburg, and Dorothy J. Bollinger of New Paris; two half sisters, Athena (Crume) Sharum of Spring Valley, Calif., Jackie (Crume)Besson of Naples, Fla.; and three half brothers, Williams Crume of Bristol, Leonard and Ralph Crume of Goshen.

Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Hartzler-Gutermuth Funeral Home where services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday. The Rev. Edward Arnold of Sugar Grove Church will officiate. Burial will be Rice Cemetery.
Mr. Crume retired in 1983 from Bendix Corp., where he was a millwright. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and of the National Rifle Association and was a veteran of World War II, serving with the U.S. Army Air Force.
