His first wife was Ida Mae Splitlog. She was the granddaughter of Mathias Splitlog. (The Millionaire Indian). It is said she died in childbirth with their first child. She is probably buried in the Cayoga Mission Cemetery in Grove, Delaware, Oklahoma which her grandfather founded. They were members of the Seneca Tribe who had originally lived in Ohio.


Henry married Nellie May Nelson Duggan after the death of his first wife. They had four children: Harold Clayton Dick born in Oklahoma, Percy Eugene Dick and Theodore Ellswoth Dick who were both born in Nebraska and a daughter, Ida May Dick who was born in 1909 after they moved to Rocky Ford, Colorado from Nebraska.

His wife Nellie May died in 1912. It is said she died of blood poisoning.

He then married Martha Aisalee Nichols and they had eight children born to them:
