Seldon George Potter, 85, of Alpine died April 10. He was born in New York and was a Plumber.
Survivior include his daughters, Elsie Childress of Texas, Joan Doiron and Diane Seikaly of El Cajon and Cindy Potter of Campo; sons, Donald Potter of Oregon, Seldon Terry Potter and Ronald M. Potter of Arizona and Robert Potter of Lakeside; 23 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren.
Services: 1 p.m. Monday, graveside, Greenwood Memorial Park, Interstate 805 and Imperial Avenue, San Diego.
Seldon was the oldest of four children born to Seldon Samuel and Edith Helen (Hurd) Potter. He married Bernice Waligorski on Nov. 28, 1939, in Cheektowaga, Erie, New york. To this union were born ten children. Six sons David, Donald, Terry, Raymond, Ronnie, and Robert. And four daughters Elise, Joan, Diane and Cindy. He is also survived by twenty five grandchildren and many great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife Bernice, two sons David Waligorski and Raymond Potter and one grandson Albert Rickey Story.
