Noah Pittman was born in Ware County, Oct.14, 1833, a son of Judge L.W.H. Pittman (VOL I). He was married in 1864, while in the Confederate Army, to Sarah Ann Agee, born Dec. 3, 1845 in Washington County, Ga., daughter of Joshua Agee (VOL II). By this marriage six children were born viz:

1. Moses V. born May 5, 1865 m. Rachel Ardelia Mikell, March 17, 1892, dau of John A. Mikell.
2. Susan Laura born May 30, 1868 m. Spencer Moore
3. Louella born July 10, 1870 m. John F. Touchston
4. Josiah Barnes born Jan. 30, 1873 m. Nora Johnson of Crawford, Fla.
5. Patsey Lee born July 1, 1876 m. John H. Tatum
6. Caroline B. born Feb. 21, 1878 m. 1) Chas P. Jolly 2) John C. Stanley 3) Charles E. Brooks

Noah Pittman enlisted in the Confederate Army, March 4, 1862, as a volunteer in Company B, 50th Georgia Infantry Regiment, and was elected 3rd Sergeant. He was promoted to 2nd Sergeant March 22, 1862. He was granted a sick furlough in February, 1865 and returned home, and was home on furlough when the war ended. Returning home, he began farming on the farm belonging to his father, near the present village of Manor, and lived there until his death June 22, 1881. He was buried at the Pittman Church near his home. His widow lived until March 13, 1914, when she died and was buried in DeLand, Florida.
