Sherman John Williamson, 94, died on Jan. 14, 1968 at Spartanburg, S.C., from a stroke. He was born in Noble County on Dec. 11, 1873 to Mr. and Mrs. General A. and Lovetta A. (Priest) Williamson. He had been engaged in farming many years before retiring after some years of empolyment by Noble County at its heating plant. He Married Martha Elizabeth Crume on Sept. 5, 1897 in Noble County IN., to whom he was married to for 62 years. She died on Oct. 18, 1959. He was a 50 year member of North Star Lodge I00F 380. He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Frank (Betty) Clouse of Albion and Mrs. Sarah Shively of Spartanburg, S.C., one son, Forrest Williamson of Chicago; one sister, Mrs. Florence Roe of Ligonier, 8 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren. one daughter preceded him in death, Mrs. Zelma Lucille Jaquay. Funeral at Bonham & Miser Funeral Home Wednesday. Burial at Sparta Cemetery.
