Rupert was born on the 15th of July 1930. He was educated at the Varsity school along with his brother Raymond. Rupert loved the organ and would spend many hours playing. By 1953 Rupert was living in Moose Jaw with his mother Annie. They lived in the home located at 522-4th Avenue NE for about 12 years. While living in Moose Jaw, Rupert worked as a sales clerk for the Army and Navy except for the years 1956 when he worked for the Moose Jaw Times Herald and 1960 when he worked as a stock person for J. M. Sinclair. On the 16th of November 1955 Rupert served as pallbearer at the funeral for Archie's seven year old son Billy.

Rupert moved into Regina in 1966 and worked as a clerk with the Sherwood Co-op there.

In 1971 Rupert would visit England, following which he would settle in Orillia, Ontario. Both the Vernon Directories and the telephone book have him listed as living at 56C Nottawasaga Street. The Vernons show him as working as a salesman at the Tudhope Shoe Store

Unknown to his sister Muriel, who had been given up for adoption at the age of 2 and never knew Rupert, and probably Rupert himself, her family lived just three and a half blocks away from the shoe store he worked at. Muriel's family shopped in this store for many years. One could assume that this brother and sister had interacted with each other many times totally unaware that they were siblings.

Rupert would live and work in Orillia until 1977. Sometime following this he would move to British Columbia with his life partner Heinrich Plitong. In 1995 they are found living in Abbotsford. They moved to Surrey in 1997 and this is where Rupert would spend the rest of his life. Rupert died in 2004 following which he was cremated. There is no known burial site.
