George Accadia, Sr. was born to Raphael and Margeretta Canova Accadia on November 21, 1921 in Totowa Borough, New Jersey. He passed away at age 88 on December 14, 2009 at Odessa Medical Center Hospital after a lengthy illness.

George served in the U. S. Army during World War II and was honorably discharged in 1945. After being discharged he worked various oilfield related jobs in the Odessa area. He retired from Con Am Inspection as manager of x-ray services.

He married Sally Phillips Thompson in 1943 in Odessa, and she preceded him in death in 1974. He married Jeannie Esmond in 1976, and she preceded him in death in 2006.

He is survived by his son George Accadia, Jr and wife Melissa of Odessa and children Afton Puryear, Parker Sands, Carson Sands, and Davis Accadia, Tiffany Breaux, and Amy Breaux; stepson Larry McSpadden and wife Nancy of Midlothian, Texas, and children Lori West and Nicole Canoe, and seven great grand children; stepdaughter Lynn McCraw and husband Ken of Cedar Park, Texas and children Micah McCraw and Sarah McCraw.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, December 16, 2009 at Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors.

Funeral services will be 3:00 p.m. Thursday, December 17, 2009 at Frank W. Wilson Funeral Chapel with Pastor David Miller officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
