BRASHEAR Harold E. "Hoot" Age 88, of Hamilton, Ohio died Monday November 4, 2008 at 8:07 p.m. at Glen Meadows Nursing Home. He was born on May 15, 1920 in Hazard, Kentucky the son of Eli and Mabel (Combs) Brashear. He graduated from Hanover High School where he was a member of the Hanover High School Basketball State Championship Team and also attended Miami University. He served in the U.S. Army, Air Force during WWII. He was employed at Champion Papers and later the owner and operator of Brashear Shell in Hamilton and later owner and operator of a local bar in Indiana. He is survived by his children Carol (Dennis) Enderle, Susan (Drew) Martin, Connie (John) Huentelman, Elaine (Mike) Taylor and Harold (Jennifer) Brashear; 12 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren; step-brothers Ralph and Jackie (Chloe) Dowd; Also survived by a special nephew Gerald "Skip" Saylor. He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter Brenda Brashear, sister Thelma Berguland and step-brother Charles Dowd. Graveside Services will be Saturday November 8, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. at Greenwood Cemetery. Paul R. Young Funeral Home 3950 Pleasant Ave. Hamilton serving the family.
